Early June (a post about the red chair)

The days of summer have come.

I’m listless but this chair was nice. It was sitting in a forgotten and grassy alley somewhere at Dostoevskaya metro (which is somewhere in the general area where Dostoevsky was born). I wanted to take it home, but what if some other Wanderer had strayed into such an alley in a search for simplistic beauty? You see, that is what loving the earth and its inhabitants is all about: simple consideration, an understanding that we are not here to suck as much of the earth’s marrow as we can before dying.

*sigh*  This will be a long summer.
